FIXED : Outlook Crash OR Hangs while Printing

Outlook provides the option to print the document directly from the programmer, just like any other email client. There are times when Outlook crashes and the print feature stops functioning. When we tried to print an email attachment, Outlook didn’t react. Here are the solutions if you’re having the same problems.

Most people prefer to print the same thing directly from the received email rather than saving the email attachment and printing it later. The print feature that affects the Outlook app is not the best. Let’s put an end to this problem.

1.Continue using Outlook

Close the Outlook app entirely and retry printing the document before attempting any sophisticated debugging techniques.

Step 1: Click the Windows key with a right-click, then choose Task Manager.

step 1

Step 2: Click the End Task button at the bottom after choosing Outlook from the list.

Step 2

After Windows shuts down the broken Outlook application, launch it once more and attempt printing the attachments.

2. Verify the internal printer.

Do you intend to use a different printer to print an attachment? Check to see if your Windows machine has your preferred printer set as the default printer.

Step 1: Press the Windows key + I to open Settings.

Step 2: From the left sidebar, choose Bluetooth & devices. From the right pane, select Printers & Scanners.

Step 3: From the list, select the connected printer by clicking on it.

Step 4: From the option that appears, choose “Set as default.”

Open Outlook, then try printing an attachment once more.

3. Hardware Connection Reset

You must verify the physical connection one more time before printing a document from Outlook. The printer can be unplugged from the PC and then replugged.

4.Save The Document After Printing From File Manager

If printing an attachment from Outlook is still giving you problems, you can save the file locally on your PC and print it.

  • Step 1: Find the email you wish to print in the Outlook app.
  • Step 2: Click on “Save As” from the drop-down menu after selecting the downward-pointing arrow next to a PDF.
  • Step 3: Open the File Manager app and locate the document after saving it in the specified location.
  • Step 4: Click the print icon at the top of the document after opening it in the Microsoft Edge browser, which is the default application for opening PDF files.

5.Running Printer Troubleshooter

Run the print trouble-shooter on your PC if the printing feature isn’t working properly.

  • Step 1: Click System in the left sidebar of the windows Settings menu.
  • Step 2: open the other trouble-shooters under Troubleshooting.
  • Step 3: Launch the printer trouble-shooter and wait for Windows to quickly resolve the problem.

Try printing a document by reopening the Outlook application.

6. Outlook App Update

When you use an old version of Outlook on your computer, you may experience Outlook crashes issues with printing and other operations. Update Outlook to the newest version right now.

First, open Outlook and choose File in the top menu.

Step 2: From the left sidebar, choose Office Account.

Expand the Update Options menu in step three.

Step 4: After choosing “Update Now,” you are ready to go.

7. Removing the printer driver

Sometimes, these problems can be caused by corrupt or out-of-date printer drivers. You can try your luck once more by reinstalling the printer drivers.

Step 1. Right-click the Windows key to bring up the Device Manager menu.

Step 2: Expand the Print Queues menu by scrolling down.

Step 3: From the context menu, right-click on a printer and choose “Uninstall device.”

Verify your choice, then restart the computer.

8.Utilize Outlook Web.

If none of the tips work for you, you can use the web version of Outlook instead of Outlook for Windows to print attachments.

  • Step 1 is to access Outlook online and log in using your account information.
  • Step 2: View a document and open an email.
  • Step 3: Choose Print from the menu at the top to open a preview of the page in a new tab in the browser.

Print the file using your normal printer.
